Prof. Witold Pedrycz

Biography  

Witold Pedrycz (IEEE Life Fellow) is Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is also with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Pedrycz is a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is a recipient of  several awards including Norbert Wiener award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, a Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Centre for Soft Computing, a Killam Prize, a Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and 2019 Meritorious Service Award from the IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society.

His main research directions involve Computational Intelligence, Granular Computing, and Machine Learning, among others.

Professor Pedrycz serves as an Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences, Editor-in-Chief ofWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and Co-editor-in-Chief ofInt. J. of Granular Computing (Springer) andJ. of Data Information and Management (Springer). 

Prof. Mohammad S. Obaidat

Biography  

Professor Mohammad S. Obaidat is an internationally known academic/researcher/scientist/ scholar. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Columbus, USA. He has received extensive research funding and published To Date (2023) over One Thousand (1,200) refereed technical articles-About half of them are journal articles, over 100 books, and over 70 Book Chapters. He is Editor-in-Chief of 3 scholarly journals and an editor of many other international journals.  He is the founding Editor-in Chief of Wiley Security and Privacy Journal.  Moreover, he is founder or co-founder of 5 IEEE International Conferences. Prof. Obaidat is a Life Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of AAIA and a Fellow of SCS.

Prof. Lin Zhang

Beihang University, China

Biography  

Lin Zhang, is a professor of Beihang University. He received the B.S. degree in 1986 from the Department of Computer and System Science at Nankai University, China. He received the M.S. degree and the Ph.D. degree in 1989 and 1992 from the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University, China. From 2002 to 2005 he worked at the US Naval Postgraduate School as a senior research associate of the US National Research Council. He served as the President of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS), the executive vice president of China Simulation Federation (CSF). He authored and co-authored more than 300 papers, 20 books and chapters, among Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers in cross-field. He received the National Award for Excellent Science and Technology Books, the Outstanding Individual Award of National High-Tech R&D Program, the National Excellent Scientific and Technological Workers Awards, and the SCS Outstanding Professional Contribution Award. His research interests include service-oriented modeling and simulation, cloud manufacturing and simulation, model engineering, model-based system engineering, cyber-physical systems, M&S for manufacturing systems, etc.
